I’m amazed at what gets into commercials. “The new Ford Extinction now gets even better gas milage — 15 city, 20 highway!”
My first thought was “holy crap, what did it get before, -2?”
But then, I’m probably not the target demographic for that ad.

My favorite “great MPG!!!!” ad is the one where Chevy boasts that the Aveo gets 35 mpg on the highway. That’s almost exactly the same as a Focus wagon, which is actually a useful vehicle, rather than golf cart that should get over 40 mpg if it were halfway well designed.
That still can’t compete with AOL’s advertising. Don’t get me started.
