Hi Derek, I ran across your story on Escape Pod this week. Congratulations! I’m sure you remember me. The old guy (mid-thirties) in Media Publishing at RealNetworks. Scary, huh? Actually, I’m jealous, because I applied to Clarion West this year and didn’t get in. Would’ve been weird to be in the same working group again, eh?
Look for a podcast of my story, “The Warden’s Last Day,” on Drabblecast (http://www.drabblecast.org) in mid-September.
I listened to CWAAMET at the gym this morning and lifted 7560 KG (no, not all at once.) This little toothbrush has the power to do more than froth milk!
Many thanks for the enjoyable tale, Derek! I will keep an eye out for your work in the future.

(Budweiser? And lite beer? WHAT are you thinking?!!)
Just wanted to say that I highly enjoyed “Conversations”–I just started listening to EscapePod this weekend, and yours has been one my favorite stories so far. If the author info Steve gave us in the podcast is still true, then I live right on the other side of Lake Sammamish, which was a nice coincidence
Keep writing, and I hope to hear more from you at EscapePod in the future,
